Upcoming Events
We want to offer a series of events where we can all meet together and celebrate our service in The London Regiment. Hopefully, the ‘battle rhythm’ for these events will offer something for everybody and where we possibly can, we will try to spread them evenly throughout the year.
The key events we have currently planned are set out below.
However, if you have an idea of an event that you think other members of the Association would like to attend, such as the Army v Navy rugby and cricket matches, then please let the Secretary know. We shall inform the wider membership using our social media stream and see what uptake there is from the membership.

The Regimental (Anzio) Dinner
Held on the Thursday closest to Anzio Day (14 May) at the Cavalry and Guards Club
Pictures from the 2023 and 2024 Dinners are in the Galleries
Next Event: Thursday 15 May 2025; 1900 for 1930 hrs
The Anzio Dinner is the principal Regimental event of the Association's social calendar, hosted by the Guards Reserve (dining) Club, and this year will be held on Thursday 15 May, 1900 for 1930 hrs, at the Cavalry and Guards Club, Piccadilly
The Dinner is open to all serving, former and retired officers and warrant officers of The London Regiment and 1st Battalion The London Guards, including Corps-attached. All personal guests, including spouses and partners, are also extremely welcome; in line with precedent, any and all guests would be private: that is, paid for by the host
Dress is Mess Kit for serving officers and warrant officers; and Black Tie with medals and decorations for retired officers, warrant officers and non-serving military guests. There is no strict dress code for ladies, and comfort is the principal criterion.
The cost of this year’s four-course dinner is £77.00 per head, which compares favourably to last year’s price (£75.00) in view of a c.15% rise in the Club’s prices. This has been possible due to the Association subsidising the cost per head.
The selected menu is:
Roulade of salmon with fennel, rocket & lemon salad, cucumber mayonnaise
Spiced duck with a lavender & soy sauce, rosti potato and sesame pak choi
Passion fruit & orange brûlée with a Madeleine
Cheese Board
Filter Coffee or Tea
Please ensure you advise any dietary considerations as soon as possible
1st Battalion London Guards officers and warrant officers should pay only £60.00 for themselves, as both Messes have generously offered a subsidy of £17.00 per head, which will be collected from the Central Bank as a single payment. Any personal guests, however, will be charged at £77.00 per head.
Payment details are:
The London Regiment Association
A/c 16432028

Further details will also be promulgated via e-mail and the LRA Facebook page
